Description: Dan Auerbach EDIT

Dan Auerbach is the guitarist, vocalist and the other half of the blues rock duo The Black Keys. Dan Auerbach formed The Black Keys with drummer Patrick Carney in 2001. Both Auerbach and Carney are from Akron, Ohio. In 2009 Auerbach released his first solo album Keep It Hid on Nonesuch Records.

Auerbach’s playing is heavily blues influences and he counts Junior Kimbough, Robert Johnson, Mississippi Fred McDowell, T Model Ford, and Kokomo Arnold as major sources of inspiration for his playing. Similar to other early blues players Dan Auerbach using a fingerstyle approach to his playing and has been known to use a fingerpick on his index finger.
