M. Ward is the stage name of Matt Ward, a Portland, Oregon singer-songwriter and guitarist. He is half of the duo “She & Him” with Zooey Deschanel. M. Ward was originally part of the trio Rodriguez before releasing his first solo album Duet for Guitars #2 in 1999.

M. Ward has also played with Bright Eyes and My Morning Jacket. His most recent album Hold Time was released on February 17, 2009 and includes a guest appearance by Lucinda Williams.
