Kenny Wayne Shepherd

Kenny Wayne Shepherd is a Grammy nominated American blues guitarist from Shreveport, Louisiana. Shepherd began playing guitar at age seven and began his music career at age 13 after a performance after playing with New Orleans bluesman Bryan Lee.

Kenny Wayne Shepherd is well known as being a young child prodigy on the guitar during the 1990s however today Shepherd is recognized as a major force in blue music today.

Martin and Fender have both released signature models – the Martin JC-16KWS and the Fender Kenny Wayne Shepherd Signature Stratocaster. Shepherd likes to use 1964 blackface Vibroverb original and re-issues. He’s also been known to use Marshalls and Fuchs amplifiers. For effects Shepherd uses a TS-9 and a TS-808 Tube Screamer, a wah-wah pedal, a Roger Mayer Octavia, a Line 6 delay pedal, a Univibe re-issue and an Analog Man chorus pedal.
