Journey to the outer edge with the Moog guitar

Moog, famous for it’s analog synthesizers (think Clockwork Orange soundtrack), has entered the guitar space with the introduction of the Moog Guitar.

It’s not just a MIDI guitar or an effects processor either.  Apparently they’ve specially designed pickups and strings that work together to create some really interesting sounds. Some of the features include “Full Sustain Mode”, “Mute Mode” and “Harmonic Blends”.  The guitar comes with a special pedal to operate the “Harmonic Blends” mode.

The first run is called the “Paul Vo Collector Edition” as is priced at a whooping $6,495.00.  Paul Vo is the main designer of the Moog Guitar.  It comes with a AAAAA maple top (didn’t know it went that high), swamp ash body and an ebony fretboard with several finishes available.

But enough of me trying to describe it - you need to check out the video to hear this thing in action…

Vernon Reid and Lou Reed are big fans!
