Between now and April 2009 Alvarez will be offering no less than a dozen new guitar models, infusing its product line with new choices from top to bottom. They are also expanding wood options in some guitars. Someone at Alvarez must be saying, “Yes, we can.” Full Story.
First off, two new models will join the Fusion Series, a line which has relatively thin bodies. The new FCC and FCF models will have even thinner bodies than the rest of the Fusion models and will come in both nylon and steel string versions. Featuring the Fishman Aura IC pickup, they’ll be available in March and April respectively and will have an MSRP of from $1,499 to $1,999.
Next, the entry-level Alvarez Regent Series is getting an infusion of eight new models. That’s a whole product line for some companies!
The flagship Alvarez Masterworks Series will see two new solid-spruce new models – a jumbo (MJ813BK) and a dreadnought (MD6104), available in March with MSRPs of $1,129 and $899, respectively.
Finally, Alvarez is expanding the wood options for its jumbo guitars in the Artist Series: maple, bubinga and spalted maple are now available and have an MSRP ranging from $649 to $899.
