Slash’s House Party a Bust
Former Guns N’ Roses and current Velvet Revolver guitarist Slash and his wife Perla bought a Hollywood Hills home in 2006 with the intention of being able to host car-in-the-pool, rockstar-level parties. Slash turned to Sotheby’s International Realty to find his dream home.
Unfortunately the party didn’t turn out as planned. The home ended up being smaller than advertised. Plus they were on a public street with parking restrictions. You can’t just have any random people showing up Slash’s house parties, right?
So Slash took Sotheby’s International Realty and the real estate agent Gregory Holcomb to court. Today the judge in the case refused to throw out the claim and it looks like they’re going to trial. Slash did not rock out at Friday’s hearing.

Unless they’re just going to replace Scott Weiland.
In Nov 2008 Sony BMG/RCA Records dropped Velvet Revolver but apparently that was to allow them the “complete freedom to go through whatever process it would take to accomplish” replacing Weiland…whatever that means.
Rumors have surfaced that Sebastian Bach (Skid Row), former MTV VJ Steve Isaacs (The Panic Channel) and ex-Spacehog vocalist Royston Langdon have all auditioned for the spot.
Ian Astbury could be a good fit.

This message is coming from a former GnR fan who has been an admirer of yours for many many years. Back during the “Use Your Illusion 1&2″ era, I was going through a really rough time. Those two albums got me through some heavy hitting issues. The raw honesty in the lyrics,musicianship and unique range in Axl’s voice were over the top. Your appreciation of God and the time you still take to stay on top of the many gifts that God gave you, were always appealing to me. Not too many “rock stars” are in tuned with the universe and all in it but from jump you were an exception. I was thinking about you now that Michael Jackson has passed away and honor you for working with him and making history at a time when people who claimed to care for him turned their backs on him. Your legacy and persona will live forever. God Bless You and Perla and your children. Take nothing for granted and know that your fans, especially a true fan like me treasure and value you. P.S. I had such a crush on you back in the day. I thought (and still think) you were too fine. I’m sorry to hear about your mom’s passing. I know how close you were to your grandmother and there’s nothing like a grandmother’s love.
