It Might Get Loud Review
Back in September 2008 we mentioned a new documentary coming out called “It Might Get Loud“. The film takes a close look at three guitar players from different generations and explores their roots and how they got started on the guitar. At the end three guitar players come together for a jam session, teaching each other their songs and how they played them. Wait, did I mention the three guitar players are Jimmy Page, The Edge and Jack White? Yeah… “It Might Get Loud” might get totally amazing! Full story…
MusicRadar.com, those lucky bastards, had the opportunity to preview the film and have a nice review written up, describing all the aspects of the film in more detail. Needless to say we are pretty fired up about seeing this film and it’s pretty cool to hear more about what this film will contain. “It Might Get Loud” covers how each of the guitarists first got started playing guitar, who their influences were and how they got together with their respective bands.
It follows Jimmy Page describing how he found his first guitar in a house his family moved into and how he first got into the skiffle craze. We get to go with The Edge to his old high school were they first formed U2. Finally we get to hear about Jack White growing up in Detriot and deciding to play guitar while everyone else was getting into hip-hop. The film is directed by David Guggenheim, well known for his direction of “An Inconvenient Truth”. The film is set to release on August 21st this year.
