Why My Wife Should Worry About Guitar Affair
You know what it’s like. You are traveling on business. You decided to fly with only carry-on so that you could keep it light. It is you, some clothes and your razor. After a full day of really boring meetings you are getting awfully lonely. You miss her. You head into the hotel bar and order a drink and drown your sorrow in your pretzels. It doesn’t help. You miss her more than ever. You wonder why you took this job. You wonder why it makes you travel so much. You wonder when you’ll see her again.
You miss your guitar.
Sheila is her name (wait, that’s just me). You cry out to her. “Sheila, Sheila, Sheila. Why?” You feel worse.
Well, thanks to Guitar Affair, just because you don’t have Sheila doesn’t mean you have to be lonely. You can Love The One You’re With. Whole Story…
We just learned about Guitar Affair an we love the idea. Here’s how it works. You pay a $50 application fee to become a member. Then, you find a guitar that you’d like to reserve. You tell Guitar Affair where you want it shipped and they ship it out to you for a daily or weekly rental rate. When you’re done with it, you ship it back in the packaging provided by dropping it off at a UPS store or arranging for a pick-up. Guitar Affiar has a large selection with high end guitars like a Rickenbacker George Harrison 12 String for $50 a night and low-end guitars like an Eric Clapton Stratocaster for only $30/day.
What we love about Guitar Affair is that it lets us kill two birds with one stone. Not only does it allow you to maintain your practice schedule while on the road, it also lets you consider a guitar you have always wanted to try for purchase. That is the part my wife should be worried about.

I just took a look at the guitars–some pretty awesome and unusual ones.
Wow thats a pretty awesome idea. I wonder how they make sure you’ll ship the guitars back after going back to your dull wif.. uh, i mean guitar.
Interesting idea, especially for test drives. But I think a travel guitar could be less complicated for a lot of folks… With the right guitar, you can also play on the plane!
