Need a Road Manager? Try TourSavant.com
TourSavant.com is a new service geared towards working bands to help plan tours using their “Virtual Road Manager”, an innovator tour router that uses a database of over 16,000 venues to help bands plan their tour. You provide parameters like an anchor gigs, starting and end locations and the application searches across it’s database to create a map of your tour and venues using Google Maps.
You can even specify a minimum city population for your tour. Other features include loadable MasterCard that provides hotel and fuel discounts - something that’s pretty handy when you’re out on the road. Check out the demo video to get an sense of how it works.
The website design leaves a bit to be desired. Overall it looks a bit clunky and uses frames. I tried signing up for the free service, but I didn’t receive any kind of confirmation page or email (email showed up) letting me know that my registration was excepted. However when I tried logging in, it all seemed to work. Hopefully these issues get worked out as the site continues to expand.
The website was founded by music industry veteran Paul Rogers whose experience with the band Cactus helped him form the vision for TourSavant.com. The site is a membership-based community. The basic membership costs $12.50 per month and the PRO Level 24/7 band concierge is an additional $89 per month. Other features include GIGTONIGHT, a free service that sends a text message to bands within a four-hour radius of a venue available in the next 24 hours. Each membership comes with one personalized loadable TourSavant MasterCard.

Cool concept and the applications seem to be worthwhile for the cost. Hopefully the design can be tweaked so that it looks better but cant get over the efficency of the “tour router”. Im going to join in hopes that my membership $’s help the site improve….though it will help us a ton right now!
@akthe5th - sounds great. We’d love to hear back from you about your experiences with the site. Let us know how it goes.
