Apparently after months of rumors “The Big Four” - Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth, and Anthrax - have officially announced on Metallica.com that they are going share the stage at a few upcoming festival dates in Europe.  The shows will start with the Sonisphere shows in Warsaw, Poland and Prague,Czech Republic with the possibility of more dates to be announced in the future.

This is huge news for metal fans everywhere.  “The Big Four”, who are considered the pioneers of thrash metal, broke out the underground scene in the 1980s and went on to sell millions of records and pack arenas and cause a massive increase in mullets per capita.

Scott Ian of Anthrax says “People have been talking about these four bands playing together since 1984. That’s twenty-six years of expectation!!! And the thing is, I believe not only will we live up to the expectations, we will shatter them!!”
