BOSS Evolves Classic Tuner with the TU-3
Found on pedal boards nearly everywhere, BOSS tuners have been keeping guitarists playing in tune since 1983. But no word yet if they’ve developed anything to keep us in key. At the NAMM show BOSS announced a new version of the classic tuner aptly named the TU-3. The BOSS TU-3 updates the current version, the TU-2, with some new features and enhanced functionality.
Upgrades to the tuner include a new “high-brightness meter mode” that should improve you’re ability to see the LEDs under bright sunlight. BOSS has also added a newly-designed 21-segment meter light for more accurate tuning. Similar to the previous version the sound output is muted when the tuner is on, allowing you to tune silently without annoying everyone else in the room.
Metal Gods and Funk Masters can even appreciate the new version – they’ve even added support for seven-string guitars and six-string basses. Sweetness!
