New Line 6 Variax Guitars Designed By James Tyler
Musikmesse is kicking off today in Frankfurt, Germany and news of new gear is starting to roll in. We have an announcement from Line 6 about a new set of Variax guitars that are being designed by James Tyler. In a launch as creative as the instruments are innovative, Line 6 will be chronicling in real-time the design and development of the new guitars at TylerVariax.com.
Each Variax Designed by James Tyler will ship Summer, 2010.
We really like the look of these guitars compared to the Variax 600 and 700 series. The James Tyler Variax look like regular guitars but obviously have a lot more going on under the hood.
Here’s the full story from Line 6:

Awssome
I am pretty excited about this. I was real close to pulling the trigger on a Variax 700, but now I’m glad I waited. Do they still have a piezo pickup?
Yeah they do have piezo pickups – one can blend the sound from the mag pickups and the modeled piezo sound. You’ll have to wait till late summer at the earliest to get your hands on one.
I’ll probably keep my 700 and wait for the Variax II – though I am tempted. If they get a decent FR whammy bar on the 89 I’d jump though.
Jame Tyler Variax 59 Sunburst IS AWWWWSSOOOOMMMEEE!!!!
Where can I get them in the UK and how much? Cheers.
