It’s a pretty big event for us here at Fretbase when a major guitar manufacturer like Taylor Guitars introduces a new shape of guitar.  So you can imagine our excitement here at Fretbase when we learned about Taylor’s introduction of the Grand Orchestra guitar – its biggest body shape.  We could tell you all about how Taylor decided to build a big bodied guitar with no pre-conceived notions, but it’s even better to let them tell you themselves.

Initially, Taylor is launching the grand orchestra shape in 3 models:  the Taylor 518e, the Taylor 618e and the Taylor 918e.  Yes, this means that each will come with built-in pick-ups.
