In connection with the release of the new documentary It Might Get Loud, Time Magazine music critic Josh Tyrangiel has published a list of the 10 best electric guitar players. From our standpoint, the only thing this list stands out for is its lack of originality. Still, we’re darn excited about seeing It Might Get Loud so we’re still going to go ahead and publish the list. Read on for the entire list.

Chuck Berry was famous for his last minute arrivals for gigs, usually by himself, jumping on stage, playing his set and quickly making his way out the back door. Berry would travel on his own from gig to gig with the promoter usually being responsible for the backing band.

With more and more people flying their Hoover flags these days we could all look to save a dime or two. As Dave mentioned, we’ve recently started a series called the “Downturn Guitar” in which we recommend a cheaper alternative to a more expensive guitar.
