Largest Guitar Ensemble World Record!

Yesterday at a park in Concord, CA a new world record was set as 2,052 guitarists came together to perform Woody Guthrie's "This Land Is Your Land".  Country Joe McDonald led the mix of acoustic and electric guitar players in the rendition of the song.  Country Joe was the leader of the 60's hippie band Country Joe McDonald and The Fish and highlighted in the cult classic Woodstock movie.

The previous official record was set in 2007 in Germany, when about 1800 folks rocked out "Smoke On The Water".  "Smoke On The Water" feels like the better mass-guitar song, but guess they went the more patriotic route with "This Land Is Your Land".  Full story at The Chronicle.

World's Record Speed Guitar!....you have to jump about 4 mins in to start seeing this guy shred on 7 string guitar that has about 30 frets.  Anyone know what kind of guitar that is?
