  • Great, classic Phase 90 sound with an extra knob

  • Pros: You get the classic Phase 90 sound
  • Cons: You pay for an extra knob that doesn't add that much value
  • Experience: I own it
  • Overall it's a good pedal. The only difference between the MXR Phase 90 and the Phase 100 is the extra knob that lets you change the "Intensity". It has 4 different settings that are labeled with these funky designs that don't mean much to a non-electrical engineer. The "Intensity" knob does change the phase sound slightly but it's not really all that versatile. Personally I think a "Mix" knob might have been a better choice for a second knob.

I'd recommend saving a few bucks and going with the Phase 90 which has much of the same sounds and it's the pedal that really defined that classic phase sound.
