  • I should have bought it years ago.

  • Pros: Tons of sounds, easy to tweak and program. Handy phrase looper, custom sounds, no sound you can't create. I play hard rock, and this beats my pedal set-up anyday. Built in NS, lots of new stuff and links to the computer. Built solid. Good product
  • Cons: Looper's only 38 seconds, and only has one button (still works great). Each sound must be programmed for effects (custom), with only two pedals faster songs require much more attention. I'd also like more storage room on-board.
  • Experience: I own it
  • There's no doubt that this thing is probably the best thing to happen to my sound in 10 years. I have pedals, and always frowned upon multiple effects boxes. I never liked the external power noises (from all the wires), and that a NS pedal is needed just to quiet the other pedals. And of course, have struggled for years with using more than one or two stomp pads at once (using a phase shifter and chorus while clean can really hurt one's ears & ego if you don't turn your effects off before you distort). In a desperate search for something I could get real use out of and at the same time kill some of the extra noise, I found the ME-25 at a local music store.
This is my first loop, and I've got more hours into it than I care to admit. The ease of this machine compared to other processors is really impressive. I do wish there were a few more pedals. With only two stomps and gajillions of possible sounds, it does get a little frustrating, but programming is simple. The ME-25 does not allow you to program more than one "click" per channel. So if you are on #6, and need to get to #16 in one beat, it will have to be pre-programmed to have them next to each other on the memory list.
I have worked with a Cry-Baby wah since I was a beginner 20 years ago. Since I bought my first one, there have been dozens of different wahs made that enable the user to tweak the sound to their liking (such as Morello, of Rage & Audioslave, Dimebag, etc.). This is the first time I've decided to use a built in effects rocker instead of my cry-baby. Octave up or octave down, auto-wah, freeze, etc., plus volume control and a wammy function made it totally worth the switch.

If you're considering this product, I'd say don't "consider" it, just buy it. It's better than the one you're comparing it to...And for the price, you simply can't beat it

  • Pros: Phrase Looper! Tons of sounds. Really easy to use and Program. Comes with software to do EVEN more, including recording. Compact, doesn't take up the whole floor. FREEZE function, a great new feature for the expression pedal. Great for live shows
  • Cons: Well, it only has 2 memory pedals and 60 settings on-board. Pre-programming is a MUST for gigging. I could use a little more storage space, and a few more pedals. Looper's only 38 seconds, which is great, but I'd like it to be a little longer.
  • Experience: I own it
  • Great piece of equipment. BOSS always delivers, and certainly has with this processor as well. It's really unlimited in what it does
