Description: Fender Stratocaster (American Standard)EDIT

The Fender Stratocaster was originally designed in 1954 by Leo Fender, George Fullerton and Freddie Tavares. The Fender Strat is one of the most popular electric guitars ever produced and has been used by a long list of distinguished musicians arcoss many different recordings. The Strat features a double-cutaway body with an extended top horn for balance. Most Fender Strats are equiped with 3 single coil pickups and pickup selector that allows the player to select up to 5 different combinations of the 3 pickups. The orignal Fender Strats were equipped with a 3 way selector that musicians found if you moved in between the selections you could activate 2 or the 3 pickups together. Fender later embraced this practice and started including a 5 way selector switch. More modern Fender Strats are often equipped with a solid 1 piece maple neck and 22 frets.
