  • An all time classic but modernized for today's players

  • Pros: Versatile tone and classic looks. Tough to get any better.
  • Cons: If you prefer humbuckers you shouldn't even be considering one.
  • Experience: I own it
  • What's not to like about the classic Fender Stratocaster. The latest versions from Fender have all the great tones you've come to know over the years but built with higher quality parts and craftsmanship.

My Strat is a 2007 and I bought at a local deal used. It apparently only had one owner before and he or she treated the instrument with great care (or didn't bother playing it all...). Fit and finish was great and it was set up by the store.

I play mainly blues and rock and this guitar suits those styles very well. I love the versatility of the pickups and tone. I mainly use the bridge pickup and the neck pickup for most of my playing. I'll also use the bridge/middle together for rhythm work.

Highly recommend the Strat. Go with the American made version - they're highly quality parts and better craftsmanship. It's worth and the guitar will last a lifetime.
