Description: Martin 00-18S John MellencampEDIT
This guitar was designed to be like “Maybell,” a 12-fret parlor guitar that John Mellencamp has treasured for years. The Martin 00-18S is understated, but still a beauty. The guitar is built with all solid woods – back and sides are quilted mahogany and the top is Carpathian spruce – combining the timbre of European spruce with the dynamic range of Adirondack spruce. The neck is genuine mahogany. Scalloped top braces provide “superb responsiveness and balance.” This guitar has a 1 3/4" low profile neck that sports a tapered slotted headstock with square slots. Each guitar bears an interior label personally signed by Mellencamp himself.
