Description: Blackbird Super OMEDIT

The Blackbird Super OM is a one-piece, hollow body, neck, and head carbon-fiber guitar. The carbon-fiber body reduces the overall weight of the guitar to 3.5 lbs. However the carbon-fiber also provides resonator-enhancing loudness, frequency-range and sustain to the guitar.

The Blackbird Super OM also has an off-set sound-hole, located at soundboard edge where the waist of a conventional guitar would be, further enhances resonance with an increased vibrating area, light bracing and a nod to the traditional symmetrical form.

The back of the Blackbird Super OM has multiple body cutaways and contours to increase the comfort of playing. The Blackbird Super OM can also come equipped with electronics for amplified playing. Blackbird released the Super OM at the Winter NAMM Show in 2009.
