Builder’s Notes: After having been on a run of building quite a few thinner bodied guitars I wanted to build a single cutaway guitar that had some meat to it. African Mahogany has a certain heft to it and this wood choice was perfect for what I was after, which was a straight forward no frills guitar. When building this guitar I wanted to be sure to accent the natural reflective quality of the Mahogany by finishing it in its natural state. Using a natural stain and finishing it off with a high gloss topcoat this no frills guitar was loaded with a high gain bridge pickup and a well rounded versatile neck pickup. This guitar is well balanced, sustaining and sings overtones.
