Description: Gibson Les Paul Studio Raw PowerEDIT
The Gibson Les Paul Studio Raw Power is a re-release of the Raw Power series that Gibson announced at the 2009 Musikmesse in Frankfurt, Germany. The series originally ran from 2000 – 2001 before Gibson reintroduced the series with updated features.
The Studio Les Paul Raw Power features a solid maple body to match its traditional maple top, resulting in a more articulate, bright tone. A maple fingerboard gives each played note a snappier response. The guitar also features a pair of Gibson’s ’57 Classic pickups and comes with a satin finish. Colors include Gold, Yellow, White, Blue/Platinum, Trans Ebony, Olive Green, Natural, Aquamarine and Platinum.

More than Just a "studio"
- Pros: '57 pick-ups are sweet sounding. Vintage tones with brighter response.
- Cons: The stoptail piece on mine was too far away from the body due to the geometry of the carved top. I lowered it and installed the strings reverse and wrapped them over the stop tail improving the tone even more.
