Description: Martin 000-15MEDIT

The Martin 000-15M was introduced at the 2010 Winter NAMM show. The Martin 000-15M is an upgrade to the Martin 000-15 which shipped in either sapele or mahogany. In addition to always being mahogany, the Martin 000-15M has a number of other improvements including a real rosette (no decal) and ebony brige pins (which go so much better with the dark wood of the guitar). While being a little more expensive than the Martin 000-15, the Martin 000-15M seems well worth the additional expense.

Music Radar published an excellent review of the Martin 000-15M.

  • Tremendous value for money spent...

  • Pros: Tone is quite different from spruce top guitars. Modified low oval neck is easy to play. Bone nut and saddle and real ebony bridge pins add up to a strong foundation for killer tone over time. Fits quite well with traditional music styles.
  • Cons: There's not much I don't like. Wish Martin would go ahead and offer binding and a gloss top option. With the vintage appointments, this would be a fingerstyle guitar players dream - but the 1 11/16ths nut width cramps the fingers.
  • Experience: I own it
  • Pros: great value, figured rosewood fretboard and bridge, vintage appointments and a tone that ov...
