Description: Martin 000-15SMEDIT
The Martin OOO-15SM has all of the appointments of the new Martin 000-15M and Martin D-15M but with the Martin 000-15S body. The Martin 000-15SM has a mahogany top, back and sides and is a 12-fret model.
My Favorite Guitars stopped selling the Martin 000-15SM Custom when the Martin 000-15SM became a standard model in 2011.
A lot of players recommend playing all mahogany guitars with 80/20 Bronze strings rather than phosphor bronze. You can read more about this here.

A Fingerstyle Player's Delight in All Mahogany
- Pros: Wonderful for acoustic fingerstyle blues. Beautiful to look at. Wonderful improvements over the standard 000-15S including the real rosette and improved pickgurard. But mostly I just plain love ths sound. This is a wonderful guitar to pick up.
- Cons: I would slightly prefer an ebony fretboard but this is really minor. Also, the slotted headstock (even though it is beautiful) takes a little getting used to.

This is an outstanding value from Martin and MFG.
- Pros: I like the wider neck for finger-style playing. The sound is balanced from high to low. Intonation is perfect. The Grovers stay put. Sounds lovely from treble to bass. Fabulous sustain. A lovely/plain little guitar. I wonder how it wil sound miked?
- Cons: Hmmm... Bone bridge pins would have been nice, as would an ebony fretboard, but these are minor grumbles. I'd like some choice in original strings. I think mine came w/a set of newly released Martin strings. I think I'll switch to Marquis (sp?).
