  • Good overall OM guitar

  • Pros: I like the size and some of the appointments that are unique to the sustainable wood series. The guitar is also very reasonably priced for an all-solid Martin Orchestra Model guitar.
  • Cons: The neck is a little bit thin for my taste. Some people really like a thin neck, but for me this makes it harder to fret certain chords - especially barre chords.
  • Experience: I own it
  • Overall, the Martin SWOMGT a good guitar for the money. I paid $1299 for it at Gryphon Stringed Instruments in Palo Alto, CA. Six months after I bought this guitar, I purchased a Martin OM-28V used for $2000 and I have to say that I much prefer that guitar. The neck is more comfortable for me and it has more of that "Martin sound." That being said, the Martin SWOMGT is a very playable and reasonably priced guitar so if you want a Martin OM at a reasonable price (<$1500) then you have to focus on this one or the Martin OM-1 and I'd definitely prefer this one.

  • Pros: Perfect size for me. It has a great sound unique to this model. Love the Cherry
  • Cons: Neck is a little thin, but not unbearable
  • Experience: I own it
  • This is an incredible guitar for the price. The quality and feel of the guitar, in my opinion, is better than guitars I have played that were three times the price. Right now it is my fravorite guitar in my collection. I'm getting a great sound out of it
