The Martin OM-21 acoustic guitar doesn’t have a lot of bells and whistles, but who needs them? It is a simply appointed Orchestra Model with a solid spruce top and solid rosewood back and sides with all gloss. The Martin OM-21 was originally introduced by Martin in 1992. The Martin OM-21 has a single black line as backstrip. Also, because the Martin OM-21 is an Orchestra Model it sports the slightly wider 1 3/4" nut width. Many guitar players consider the Martin OM-21 to be a real value in the Martin line with a Minimum Advertised Price under $2,000.

Very simple all solid-wood OM with good quality.
- Pros: I play primarily fingerstyle blues and I liked how good this music sounded for that type of playing. It was especially nice to have less bass than I get with my dreadnaught. I also liked how simple its appointments were.
- Cons: I don't like the striped fretboard. Would much prefer a solid black fretboard even if that made the guitar a little more expensive.
- Experience: I've used it
