  • Pros: The vintage beauty and fantastic sound and easy to play neck
  • Cons: I can't find a flaw with this guitar
  • Experience: I've used it
  • I fell in love with the looks of this guitar and when I played it I knew it was the one I wanted. I had someone else play it and I listened from a distance and it sounded great.I really don't have a complaint at all. I would and have recommended it to anyone who would listen and a lot of people have listened to me and the guitar.I considered Taylors and GIbsons and some Gallagher's but always came back to the HD 28V. I am buying the guitar from Wildwood Music in Coshocton Ohio. They were the best price of many dealers in Ohio and very nice people to deal with. The price was $2369.
I play country and bluegrass and this is perfect for both and almost anything else you want to play. Martin puts a lot of quality into anything they make and you can tell just by picking one up and playing it.

  • Wonderful and classic dreadnought that plays LOUD.

  • Pros: Beautiful antique finish and calssic adornments (like the tuners).
  • Cons: This one really booms so it isn't as good for fingerstyle or other more moderate types of play.
  • Experience: I've used it
  • I bought this guitar for $2799 in 2005. It is a wonderful guitar but it is very loud. I think this guitar is best for bluegrass.
