The Fender Nashville B-Bender Telecaster is an American Telecaster modded with a Parsons B-Bender system. Fender has made these guitars off and on since June 2000 and has recently discountinued the model. It’s rumored the cost of building the guitar is near to or more than the selling price.
The model was also based on some modifications common in Nashville, TN. Many session players added a middle Strat pickup to their Telecasters to allow them to achieve both the Tele and Strat sound. The Fender Nashville B-Bender has the Texas Special Strat middle pickup.
Gene Parsons and Clarence White invented the B-Bender in the early ’70s. Gene Parsons runs a website and does B-Bender installations.
