Description: Fender Limited Edition John Mayer StratocasterEDIT
The Fender Limited Edition John Mayer Stratocaster is a guitar co-designed by John Mayer that features an alder body and a satin finished maple neck with a slightly larger C-shape design. The fingerboard is made from African rosewood with a 9.5" radius and Dunlop 6105 frets. The bridge is an American Vintage synchronized tremolo with five springs and no back plate as per Mayer’s specifications.
The pickups on the John Mayer Strat are called “Big Dippers” – single-coil pups with a scooped mid-range voicing wound to Mayer’s specs. The guitar also has vintage styled Fender/Gotoh tuning keys and vintage ’50s decal on the headstock.
The guitar was first introduced in July 2007.

After 1 year with this guitar, it is my #1.
- Pros: I like the quieter p/us. Less hum/hiss, more tone. Great for recording.
- Cons: At first, I was disappointed that my other Fenders were lounder. I only missed that for awhile. This sounds better.
