Breathe by Pink Floyd
Description: Breathe EDIT
“Breathe” is a song by progressive rock band Pink Floyd and appears on their album The Dark Side of the Moon.
The song starts off with a E minor 7 add 9 chord. Then an A major chord (occasionally interspersed with an Asus4) comes in putting the song in the E Dorian mode. That is the main riff to the song. Then the song changes to a C major 7 chord followed by a B minor 7. The B minor is followed by a F major and G major. After that there are two more complex chords, D7#9(the Hendrix Chord) and Ebm6 and the song goes back to the main riff and then breaks in the “Time”. Those chord changes were mostly invented by Keyboardist Richard Wright. The colorful chord changes represents the sophisticated approach to melody and harmonies in the music at the era of Meddle and Dark Side of the Moon.
